Morcheeba and Goran Bregović will perform on the Fusine Lakes stage at the No Borders Music Festival, a historic music festival scheduled on the border between Italy, Austria and Slovenia, now in its 29th edition.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 20: Morcheeba will start at 2 p.m., followed by the Balkan energy of Goran Bregović (4 p.m.).
The organizers underline that Morcheeba, a London-based band with a 20-year career, is synonymous with musical evolution.
They began in 1995 as a trip-hop group and then embraced genres that were always different but well blended with their personal style: pop, alternative, and indie. Among their hits are 'Rome Wasn't Built in a Day,' 'Otherwise,' 'The Sea,' and 'Be Yourself.' Goran Bregović's compositions blend Balkan folk sounds with electronics, unbridled rhythms, and sacred themes with rock moods, resulting in music that is now a recognizable signature.
His musical story began when he was sixteen, and he created his first rock band in Sarajevo clubs.
Then followed fifteen years with his group, White Button, and thirteen albums sold six million copies. In the late 1980s, Bregović began to approach the world of film music, composing the melodies for Emir Kusturica's third film 'The Time of the Gypsies.' In the summer of 1995, Goran returned to the stages, touring all over Europe at the head of his Orchestra for Weddings and Funerals, presenting his finest songs, such as 'Ederlezi' (The Time of the Gypsies), 'In the Death Car' (Arizona Dream), and the vigorous 'Kalashnikov' (Underground).
