ROME ANSAcom

As part of the Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in the EuroMed promoted by the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF), the organization ZAK - Centre for Cultural and General Studies, in collaboration with Candid Foundation - both part of the German network of ALF - is organizing on June 24 the first online meeting of the series of debates "The Scene", which connect the art scene to stimulate Euro-Mediterranean dialogue. "Theater was born in the Hellenic Mediterranean. Today all around the Mediterranean, new innovative forms of theater are emerging promoting social progress and exchange", according to the presentation of the event on the website of the Anna Lindh Foundation. "The innovative debate series 'The Scene' shares visions and challenges and thereby fosters creative exchanges around the Mediterranean in three episodes on theater, rap, graffiti and cartoons". "The Scene" is the third season of the series of debates 'Elan - new ideas for Europe', initiated by the Candid Foundation (Berlin) and Europa Nova (Paris) "that aims to create ideas for cultural, social, and political innovation and a sustainable and inclusive forum for the creativity of young European citizens and those of Mediterranean countries". The debate on June 24 at 12:30 PM will see the participation of Ellada Evangelou, project coordinator of the Young Mediterranean Voices Program of ALF, Katrien van Beurden, artistic director, founder and actor of the Theatre Hotel Courage and freelance actor of the Henneman Agency, actor and musician Raffi Feghali and actress, theatrologist, theatrical gams and educational drama animator Nayia T. Karacosta. The meeting will be moderated by Swenja Zaremba, the coordinator of the German Anna Lindh Network and researcher on cultural relations and civil society.
